Spread over two buildings and an outdoor location, the museum scores with its extensive thematic areas. From prehistory through the Middle Ages to the 20th century - here you can vividly experience the history and development of the region.
If you walk from the Renthof over to the Zehntscheune, you can do so on a geological time path of the earth's history. With every meter you cover 22 million years of the earth's history. In the exhibition on geology and geomorphology of the Wolfhager Land you can then trace the volcanic region of the Habichtswald.
A special highlight are the original dinosaur tracks found in Wolfhagen in 1998, which you can admire here!
