From the middle of the 16th century until the middle of the 18th century, mining was carried out in Bergfreiheit near Bad Wildungen. In the exhibition, which is housed in the building of the historic mining office, the history of regional mining can be traced and ores and minerals of the Kellerwald can be marveled at. Guided tours through the visitor mine in the former Bertsch copper mine provide impressions of the interior of the mine.
