GeoBikeRoute Ruhr-Eder

Cycling through the history of the earth between earth and water, between shale and sandstone!

Since 2015, the Geopark has been attracting visitors with a new cycling offer. The new cycling tourism project has even crossed national borders and enables Geopark experiences on two wheels. The approximately 210 km long circular route offers an entry point in Winterberg, Waldeck, Frankenberg (Eder), Allendorf (Eder), Bromskirchen and Hallenberg. The route leads over very well developed cycle paths, for example on the Edersee railroad cycle path from Korbach to the Edersee and on the Eder cycle path through the Eder valley, in order to close the loop via the Linspher cycle path and the Ruhr valley cycle path.

Guided bike tours on the GeoBike route with Geopark guide Peter Hankel can be booked on request at the project office.
