Cool and humid, a bog adventure trail leads southeast of the Wüstegarten for a distance of about 800m through a large, patchy spruce forest complex. Favored by waterlogging soil layers, numerous smaller and larger bogs have formed along points of groundwater seepage. These spring bog complexes are accompanied by acid grass meadows, lichen grasslands and rock heaths. Together they form a complex and species-rich ecosystem.

Combine the moor adventure trail with an ascent to the Wüstegarten! Simply start at the hiking parking lot "Kellerhütte" in Densberg. Halfway along the trail you will reach the Moor-Erlebnispfad. At the highest point of the edge hiking trail, the Wüstegarten awaits with its highlights!
